Training Information

The Ventura County Council and the BSA National organization both offer a wide variety of training, much of it available online at any time.

Minimum Training Requirements for Assistant Scoutmasters:

• Fast Start Training
• Youth Protection
• This is Scouting
• Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training
• Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Minimum Training Requirements for Committee Members:

• Fast Start Training
• Youth Protection
• This is Scouting
• Troop Committee Challenge

The Ventura County Council's training calendar may be found online, and other Councils' training programs may be used if they fit your personal calendar better.
